Befriending Anxiety is designed as a 4-week course; however, can be completed at your own pace.

The course combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Nervous System regulation tools, and somatic practices to aid in managing and reducing anxiety.

It is psychoeducational and application/technique-based.
-
The course mirrors several therapy sessions' worth of material.

The course is trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive practices are integrated into the course work as well.

The course consists of video lessons, journal work (printable pdf's) exercises and Mindfulness-Based guided meditations (mp3s)

Week Two: The Healing Power of Awareness, Insight, and Practice:

Taking a closer look at your thoughts without judgment and why thoughts matter

Exploring emotions within the context of safety and curiosity

Learning to harness the power of breath as a tool for grounding and nervous system regulation
Week Three: Diving deeper into practice:

Developing the capacity to Respond versus React

The wisdom of the body and somatic practices

The Role of the Nervous System, Vagal Toning, and inviting the relaxation response

Introduction to Meditation with trauma-sensitive recommendations
Week Four: Core Beliefs, Strengthening the Roots of Self-Compassion and additional practices:

Nurturing the Shadow

Healing Anxiety with the practice of Self-Compassion
