All evaluations are conducted personally by Katie Fleming, LPC. This allows for a consistent, individualized process and ensures that assessment findings are informed by a thorough understanding of each client’s history, concerns, and goals. No technicians, interns, or associates are involved in the evaluation process. From the initial interview through assessment administration and interpretation, care is provided directly and continuously. This approach supports accurate understanding of results and allows recommendations to be thoughtfully tailored to each individual. Clients receive focused, personalized care throughout the process, without being transferred between multiple providers.

In most cases, no special preparation is required. It can be helpful to arrive well-rested and to eat beforehand so you are comfortable and able to focus. If you have prior testing, academic records, or documentation that may be relevant, you are welcome to bring those materials or share them in advance. During the evaluation, you will have opportunities for breaks, and the process is designed to be paced in a supportive and manageable way. The goal is to gather accurate information, not to test endurance or performance under pressure.

Yes. All information and results obtained during an evaluation are kept confidential in accordance with professional and ethical standards. Information is only shared with others when you provide written authorization, or when required by law. You are always informed about how your information is handled, and you retain control over who receives copies of your report or related documentation.

Recommendations are individualized and based on each person’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Following an evaluation, recommendations may include a combination of academic, organizational, emotional, and practical supports designed to help individuals function more effectively in school, work, and daily life. Examples may include: Academic accommodations, such as extended testing time, reduced-distraction settings, assistive technology, or note-taking support Executive functioning supports, including strategies for organization, time management, planning, and task initiation Learning strategies, such as study techniques, reading or writing supports, and memory-building tools Emotional or behavioral supports, including skill-building strategies, stress-management tools, or therapeutic recommendations Workplace or career-related supports, such as accommodation guidance, coaching, or vocational recommendations when relevant The goal of these recommendations is to translate evaluation findings into clear, actionable supports that align with the individual’s needs and help them move forward with greater confidence and effectiveness.

Accommodations are not typically granted immediately following an evaluation. The purpose of the evaluation is to clarify an individual’s needs and provide documentation and recommendations that can then be submitted to the appropriate organization, such as a school’s disability services office, testing agency, or employer’s human resources department. Each organization has its own review process and timeline for determining accommodations, which is outside the evaluator’s control. Once your evaluation is complete and the final report is issued, you can share it with the relevant parties and follow their procedures for requesting accommodations. Final reports are generally completed within two to three weeks of testing. Expedited report options may be available for an additional fee.

Evaluation results do not technically “expire,” but many schools, testing agencies, and institutions require documentation to be relatively recent in order to be considered valid for accommodations. In many cases, psychoeducational evaluations are expected to be updated within approximately three years; however, specific requirements can vary widely by institution. Because guidelines differ, it is important to check directly with the school, testing agency, or organization requesting documentation to confirm their current requirements. This can help ensure that evaluation results meet their standards and reduce delays in the accommodation process.

Evaluations are provided on a self-pay basis, and insurance is not accepted directly. Some clients may be eligible for partial reimbursement through their insurance plan if they have out-of-network benefits. Payment is due at the time of service. After the evaluation is completed, a superbill can be provided for submission to your insurance company. Please note that reimbursement policies vary by plan, and some insurance providers require a documented diagnosis in order to consider reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement decisions are determined solely by your insurance provider.
