MORE THAN TALK THERAPY

Change You Can Understand and Feel

YOUR PATH, YOUR PACE

Katie offers in-person and virtual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, relationship concerns, attention-related challenges, and life transitions. With  two decades of experience, she creates a steady, respectful space where insight is paired with practical support for everyday life.

BEYOND TRADITIONAL TALK THERAPY

Talking about what's hard is one thing. Feeling the change in your body is another. By gently working with the nervous system, therapy helps you build the capacity to move through difficult moments without shutting down or becoming overwhelmed, even if you carry a history of trauma.

Sessions focus on building skills you practice together in the therapy room, so they're ready when you need them in daily life. Katie draws on Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and EMDR, a therapy designed specifically for processing trauma. Nothing is rushed or forced. Each step moves at a pace that feels workable, so change can take hold and  grow to be more sustainable.

COLLABORATIVE & PERSONALIZED CARE

You are the expert on your own life. Katie's role is to offer structure, tools, and a steady relationship as you find what truly helps. This is especially meaningful for people who haven't felt helped by therapy before. Progress might look like sleeping better, feeling less anxious, responding instead of reacting, or simply feeling more like yourself again.

Getting Started

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

FIRST STEPS:

  • Call for a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs and see if working together feels right. If it's a good fit, we'll schedule your first session.

  • Katie encourages you to review the "Helpful Therapy Questions" before your consultation or first appointment to help clarify your goals and intentions. Once you schedule your initial session, you'll receive intake forms via email to complete before we meet.

  • Your first session is about getting to know each other. You'll discuss your background and goals while Katie explains how therapy works, including important details about confidentiality and policies. Together, you'll create a plan that includes how often to meet and what you hope to achieve. You'll also talk about how you'll know when you've reached your goals and what steps will help you maintain your progress.
