THERAPY FOR ADULTS

A Space to Feel Understood, Supported & Empowered

Katie offers both in-person and virtual therapy to support a range of schedules and needs. With almost two decades of experience, she works with adults from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Her practice supports people navigating anxiety, depression, attention-related and behavioral challenges, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, burnout, and the ongoing effects of trauma.

Sessions are shaped around what matters most to you. Katie focuses on creating a steady, respectful space where insight can develop alongside practical supports for daily life, not just understanding within the therapy room.

BEYOND TRADITIONAL TALK THERAPY

Conversation and reflection are meaningful parts of therapy, but for many people insight alone isn’t enough. Space is always available to talk things through, while also paying attention to how those conversations affect your nervous system, whether they feel clarifying and settling, or begin to increase activation or overwhelm.

Katie integrates evidence-based approaches with close attention to pacing, capacity, and consent. Skills and practices are introduced gradually and explored together, rather than pushed or forced. The focus is on building stability and choice so that change emerges in a sustainable way.

Depending on your needs, therapy may include mindfulness-based practices to support present-moment awareness, EMDR for trauma processing, and somatic and nervous system-based approaches that help the body gently release patterns of stress and survival. The work remains grounded in collaboration, nervous system awareness, and moving at a pace that feels workable.

WHY MINDFULNESS AND SOMATIC WORK?

Over years of clinical practice, Katie has come to trust approaches that support both awareness and the nervous system. These foundations help people across many concerns, not because they target one specific symptom, but because they change how people are able to meet their experiences. Insight matters, and many people also need lived, embodied experiences of steadiness and safety for change to truly hold.

Mindfulness-based therapy supports the ability to slow down and notice internal experience with clarity and care. It helps people recognize patterns in thoughts, emotions, and reactions, creating more choice in how they respond to daily challenges.

Somatic work supports the nervous system directly. By working with sensation, movement, breath, and pacing, the body gradually builds flexibility and capacity. As regulation becomes more available, people often find themselves responding with more ease, resilience, and steadiness, without having to work so hard to “hold it together.”

Together, these approaches help people engage life from a more grounded place. Rather than trying to fix or override what’s happening, the work supports a steadier relationship with life itself, something that can be felt and relied on, not just understood intellectually.

COLLABORATIVE & PERSONALIZED CARE

Katie works from a collaborative and respectful stance. She understands that you are the expert on your own life, even if that connection feels distant at times. Her role is to accompany you: offering structure, tools, and a steady therapeutic relationship as you explore what supports meaningful change.

The work is guided by a commitment to making therapy genuinely useful in everyday life, especially for people who may not have felt helped by past experiences. Care is taken to stay responsive to what truly supports your system over time, rather than following a rigid plan.

Together, you’ll shape an approach that reflects your goals and honors your pace. Progress may look like feeling more regulated, sleeping more restfully, easing anxiety, strengthening relationships, or feeling more grounded in daily life. Support is consistent, with gentle challenge offered when it feels appropriate and collaborative.

If you’re considering therapy, Katie offers a free 15-minute consultation. This is an opportunity to share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and see whether this approach feels like the right fit for you.
