It's a 'Felt' Thing... Demystifying Embodiment
Embodiment is the ability to sense what is happening inside you as it happens. Here is what the term means, what interoception research tells us about emotions in the body, and where this work begins in practice.

What is Somatic Therapy, Really?
If you've tried talk therapy but still feel stuck somatic therapy offers a different path. Your body holds its own story that often differs from your mind's narrative, which explains why you can't think your way to lasting relaxation. This body-based approach works with your nervous system to release stored tension and restore balance through gentle awareness techniques so you can meet life's challenges with capacity and strength.

Understanding EMDR as a Treatment for Trauma
EMDR works at the level where trauma lives, in the body, the nervous system, and memory. Sessions look different for everyone, guided by safety, pacing, and choice. Rather than forcing change, EMDR supports the brain’s natural capacity to process and integrate overwhelming experiences.

Why Nervous System Work, Works Wonders
Nervous system regulation shapes what is possible in therapy and in daily life. I approach this work because I have seen how awareness of the internal state can open new possibilities, for clients and in my own experience. When the nervous system becomes more regulated, choice, connection, and presence become more accessible.
