EMDR works at the level where trauma lives, in the body, the nervous system, and memory. Sessions look different for everyone, guided by safety, pacing, and choice. Rather than forcing change, EMDR supports the brain’s natural capacity to process and integrate overwhelming experiences.
Nervous system regulation shapes what is possible in therapy and in daily life. I approach this work because I have seen how awareness of the internal state can open new possibilities, for clients and in my own experience. When the nervous system becomes more regulated, choice, connection, and presence become more accessible.
